  5. Select the “Fields” tab and enter the fields that make up each segment of the IDoc type. 
  6. Select the “Message Type” tab and enter a message type for the IDoc type. 
  7. Select the “Port Type” tab and enter a port type for the IDoc type. 
  8. Select “Save” to save your changes. 
  
  Other Recommendations: 
  It is recommended that users test their newly created IDoc types before using them in production systems. This can be done by using transaction code WE19 or by using an ALE test tool such as ALE Test Cockpit (ATC).
