Overview: WSAF002 is a transaction code used in SAP to maintain the DSX file. The DSX file is a data file used to store information about the system configuration and settings. It is used to store information such as user profiles, system parameters, and other system-related data. Functionality: The WSAF002 transaction code allows users to maintain the DSX file. This includes creating, editing, and deleting entries in the file. It also allows users to view the contents of the file and make changes as needed. Additionally, users can use this transaction code to back up the DSX file and restore it if needed. Step-by-step How to Use: 1. Enter the WSAF002 transaction code in the command field. 2. Select the “Create” option from the menu bar. 3. Enter the name of the entry you want to create in the “Name” field. 4. Enter the value of the entry in the “Value” field. 5. Select “Save” to save your changes. 6. To edit an existing entry, select “Edit” from the menu bar and enter the name of the entry you want to edit in the “Name” field. 7. Enter your changes in the “Value” field and select “Save” to save your changes. 8. To delete an existing entry, select “Delete” from the menu bar and enter the name of the entry you want to delete in the “Name” field. 9. Select “Save” to save your changes. 10. To view or back up your DSX file, select “Display/Backup” from the menu bar and enter a filename for your backup in the “Filename” field if desired. 11. Select “Save” to save your changes or view your DSX file contents on screen. 12. To restore a backup of your DSX file, select “Restore” from the menu bar and enter a filename for your backup in the “Filename” field if desired. 13. Select “Save” to save your changes or view your DSX file contents on screen after restoring it from backup. Other Recommendations: It is important to note that any changes made using this transaction code will take effect immediately and cannot be undone without restoring a backup of your DSX file first. Therefore, it is recommended that users back up their DSX files before making any changes using this transaction code so that they can easily restore their files if needed later on.
