  1. Log into the SAP system and enter transaction code SM50. 
  2. The Work Process Overview: screen will appear. 
  3. Select the application server instance you wish to view from the drop-down list. 
  4. The work processes for that instance will be displayed in a table format. 
  5. To start, stop, or restart a work process, select it from the table and click on the appropriate button at the bottom of the screen. 
  6. To view more detailed information about a work process, double-click on it in the table. 
  7. To exit SM50, click on the “Back” button at the top of the screen.
