Overview: MASE (MA Control: Role Categories) is a SAP transaction code used to manage and control the roles and categories of users in the SAP system. It allows administrators to assign roles to users, create new roles, and modify existing roles. Functionality: MASE enables administrators to assign roles to users, create new roles, and modify existing roles. It also allows administrators to assign categories to users, create new categories, and modify existing categories. Additionally, MASE provides a way for administrators to view the current status of user roles and categories. Step-by-step How to Use: 1. Log into the SAP system using your administrator credentials. 2. Enter transaction code MASE in the command field. 3. Select the “Roles” tab to view the current list of user roles. 4. Select the “Categories” tab to view the current list of user categories. 5. To assign a role or category to a user, select the “Assign” button and enter the user’s name in the search field. 6. To create a new role or category, select the “Create” button and enter the desired name for the role or category in the search field. 7. To modify an existing role or category, select the “Modify” button and enter the desired name for the role or category in the search field. 8. Once you have completed your changes, select “Save” to save your changes. Other Recommendations: It is recommended that administrators regularly review user roles and categories in order to ensure that they are up-to-date and accurate. Additionally, it is important that administrators are familiar with all of the features available in MASE in order to effectively manage user roles and categories within their SAP system.
