Overview: KP84 is a transaction code used in SAP to delete a distribution key. A distribution key is a tool used to assign costs to cost centers or cost objects. It is used to allocate costs in a more detailed way than the traditional cost center approach. Functionality: The KP84 transaction code allows users to delete an existing distribution key. This can be done by entering the key name and selecting the “Delete” button. The deleted distribution key will no longer be available for use in the system. Step-by-step How to Use: 1. Enter transaction code KP84 in the command field. 2. Enter the name of the distribution key you wish to delete in the “Distribution Key” field. 3. Select the “Delete” button. 4. Confirm that you wish to delete the distribution key by selecting “Yes” in the confirmation window. 5. The distribution key will be deleted from the system and will no longer be available for use. Other Recommendations: It is important to note that once a distribution key has been deleted, it cannot be recovered or restored. Therefore, it is recommended that users exercise caution when deleting a distribution key and ensure that it is no longer needed before deleting it from the system.
