  Overview:
  The SAP transaction code IP12 is used to display maintenance strategies in the SAP system. It is a part of the Plant Maintenance (PM) module and is used to view and maintain maintenance strategies for equipment and functional locations. 
  
  Functionality: 
  The IP12 transaction code allows users to view and maintain maintenance strategies for equipment and functional locations. It also allows users to create, change, or delete maintenance strategies. The maintenance strategies are used to define the type of maintenance activities that need to be performed on a particular piece of equipment or functional location. 
  
  Step-by-step How to Use: 
  1. Enter the transaction code IP12 in the command field. 
  2. Enter the equipment or functional location number in the “Object” field. 
  3. Select the “Strategy” tab to view the existing maintenance strategies for the selected object. 
  4. To create a new strategy, select the “Create” button and enter the required information in the fields provided. 
  5. To change an existing strategy, select it from the list and click on the “Change” button. 
  6. To delete an existing strategy, select it from the list and click on the “Delete” button. 
  7. Finally, click on the “Save” button to save your changes. 
  
  Other Recommendations: 
  It is recommended that users familiarize themselves with all of the available options in IP12 before making any changes to existing maintenance strategies or creating new ones. Additionally, users should always make sure that they have a backup of their data before making any changes in case something goes wrong during the process.
