  Overview:
  SAP transaction code CS12 is used to create and maintain multilevel bills of materials (BOMs). A BOM is a list of components and sub-components that make up a product. A multilevel BOM allows for the components of a product to be broken down into multiple levels, making it easier to track and manage the components of a product. 
  
  Functionality: 
  The CS12 transaction code allows users to create and maintain multilevel BOMs. It also allows users to view the structure of existing BOMs, as well as view the components and sub-components of each level. Additionally, users can use this transaction code to copy existing BOMs, delete existing BOMs, and change the structure of existing BOMs. 
  
  Step-by-step How to Use: 
  1. Enter the CS12 transaction code in the command field. 
  2. Select “Create” or “Change” from the menu bar. 
  3. Enter the material number for which you want to create or change a BOM. 
  4. Enter the components and sub-components for each level of the BOM. 
  5. Save your changes when you are finished. 
  
  Other Recommendations: 
  It is important to note that when creating or changing a multilevel BOM, all levels must be filled in correctly in order for the BOM to be saved successfully. Additionally, it is recommended that users familiarize themselves with the different options available in the menu bar before using this transaction code, as they can be used to quickly access different functions within CS12.
