Component: LE
Component Name: Logistics Execution
Description: A lower level of the handling unit for creating handling units. The HU proposal is created manually or automatically in the packing dialogue using the packing instruction. When you save, the corresponding number of handling units is created from the HU proposal. You can change and check a HU proposal before the handling unit is created. If the HU proposal is created according to packing instructions, the proposal is given a packing status, resulting from the check on the packing status check profile. This packing status is passed to the handling unit. A HU proposal with the packing status "Packing instruction damaged" cannot be passed to the packing unit.
Key Concepts: HU Proposal is a feature in SAP Logistics Execution (LE) that allows users to create and manage Handling Unit (HU) proposals. A Handling Unit is a physical container used to store and transport goods. HU Proposals are used to define the structure of the HUs, such as the number of items, weight, and volume. How to use it: To create an HU Proposal, users must first define the structure of the HU. This includes specifying the number of items, weight, and volume. Once the structure is defined, users can then assign items to the HU Proposal. The items can be assigned manually or automatically using a predefined rule. Once all items have been assigned, users can then save the HU Proposal. Tips & Tricks: When creating an HU Proposal, it is important to ensure that all items are correctly assigned to the HU. This will help ensure that all items are accounted for and that no items are lost during transport. Additionally, it is important to ensure that the weight and volume of the HU are within acceptable limits.
