In Brazil, it represents a group of notas fiscaís and in India, it represents a group of excise invoices. &EXAMPLE& In Brazil, the authorities could require you to number two set of notas fiscaís, both from 1001 through 5000. You create two series, AA and BB, so that you can assign a unique number to all of the notas fiscaís, for example, AA-1001.
