Component: CO
Component Name: Controlling
Description: A tool used to calculate overhead percentages for cost centers that take part in the calculation of imputed costs. The overhead percentages are distinguished according to the type of cost center or the controlling area.
Key Concepts: Access sequence is a feature of SAP Controlling (CO) that allows users to define the order in which the system searches for valid values for a particular field. It is used to determine the cost element or cost center that will be used in a particular transaction. Access sequences are made up of several accesses, each of which contains a search field and a search value. How to use it: To use an access sequence, the user must first create an access sequence in the system. This is done by going to the IMG (Implementation Guide) and selecting Controlling -> Cost Element Accounting -> Master Data -> Access Sequences. Once the access sequence is created, it can be assigned to a cost element or cost center in the master data. Tips & Tricks: When creating an access sequence, it is important to remember that the order of the accesses matters. The system will search for valid values in the order specified by the user, so it is important to make sure that the most likely values are listed first.
