  • Key Concepts:
SQL Audit is a component of the BC-SEC Security Audit in SAP. It is used to monitor and audit the SQL statements that are executed on the SAP system. It records all SQL statements that are executed on the system, including those from external applications, and stores them in an audit log. This allows administrators to track and analyze the usage of SQL statements on the system.

    How to use it:
To use SQL Audit, administrators must first enable it in the SAP system. This can be done by setting the parameter “sql_audit” to “1” in the instance profile. Once enabled, all SQL statements that are executed on the system will be recorded in an audit log. Administrators can then view and analyze this log to identify any suspicious or unauthorized activity.

    Tips & Tricks:
When using SQL Audit, it is important to ensure that only authorized users have access to the audit log. This can be done by setting up user roles and assigning them appropriate permissions. Additionally, administrators should regularly review the audit log to ensure that all SQL statements are being used appropriately.
