  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

Errors were encountered when attempting to convert the employee's
IT0224 record(s) to the Tax Framework infotypes.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    System Response

When the system encounters errors during conversion, the errors are
reported in the Message Log, and final conversion ("commitment" to the
database) of the record(s) for the employee is stopped.
Since the four Tax Framework Infotypes are inter-related, all
infotypes to be converted for the employee relating to the same IT0224
record cannot be created without resolution of the reported problem(s).

    How to fix this error?

Use the Message Log to determine the exact nature of the error. Then
use transaction PA30 to review and correct the Infotype 0224 record
which caused the error. The Conversion program can then be used to
    convert the corrected record.

SAP messages fall into 3 different categories: Error messages (message type = E), Warnings (W) or Informational (I) messages.

An error message will prevent you from continuing your work - it is a hard stop and you need to fix the error before you can proceed. A warning message will stop your work, however, you can then bypass the warning by pressing the Enter key on your keyboard. That said, it is still good practice to investigate the cause of the warning message and address it. An information message will not stop your work and is truly just for informational purposes.
