Message text: Multiple delivery is not possible for the same item in a delivery
When placing a delivery for a sales order, the system recognized that
one or more order items should be delivered multiple times in the same
collective processing. For bills of material, delivery groups, material
determination, or free goods, multiple delivery (in particular within
the same delivery) can mean that main or subitems are delivered
incorrectly, that the system does not recognize incomplete delivery
groups and does not reject them, or that the quantity relationships
between the main and subitems cannot be determined correctly.
For delivery groups, bills of material, or other structured materials
(order items with a main-subitem relationship), the system does not
allow multiple delivery in one delivery. The items which would
constitute a multiple delivery are not processed. For each order item,
the system only delivers the first selected entry in the shipping due
date index (transaction VL10).
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

SAP messages fall into 3 different categories: Error messages
(message type = E), Warnings (W) or Informational (I) messages.
An error message will prevent you from continuing your work - it is a hard stop and you need to fix the error before you can proceed. A warning message will stop your work, however, you can then bypass the warning by pressing the Enter key on your keyboard. That said, it is still good practice to investigate the cause of the warning message and address it. An information message will not stop your work and is truly just for informational purposes.
