Message text: Bookmarks or favorites cannot be read
The system cannot find the bookmarks or favorites for your Internet
browser. The possible causes of this error depend on whether your
company uses Netscape or Microsoft browsers:
Netscape:
An incorrect path has been entered in the registry for the file
BOOKMARK.HTM.
Microsoft:
The favorites are not stored in a file and cannot therefore be imported
into the SAP system.
Netscape:
Check whether the path entered in the registry (under
<LS>HKEY_CURRENT_USER</> --> <LS>Software</> --> <LS>Netscape</> -->
<LS>Bookmark</> <LS>List</>) corresponds to the actual path for the file
BOOKMARK.HTM. If the two paths are different, please update the path in
the registry.
Microsoft:
At present, there is no solution for this problem. You should therefore
enter the address for the Internet page manually, or copy the address
from the location line in your browser and <LS>paste</> the entry into
the SAP system dialog box.

SAP messages fall into 3 different categories: Error messages
(message type = E), Warnings (W) or Informational (I) messages.
An error message will prevent you from continuing your work - it is a hard stop and you need to fix the error before you can proceed. A warning message will stop your work, however, you can then bypass the warning by pressing the Enter key on your keyboard. That said, it is still good practice to investigate the cause of the warning message and address it. An information message will not stop your work and is truly just for informational purposes.
