Message text: BOM entry was not found for empties material &1 (full product &2 &3 )
You are working with a <DS:GLOS.352A7ADBD3895CD5E10000009B38F974>full
product</> with a corresponding
<DS:GLOS.3526BBC5AFAB52B9E10000009B38F974>bill of material for empties
material</>.
When the system processes an 'empties' material, it tries to access the
bill of material for empties material to try to determine the BOM
factor for the 'empties' material. This attempt has failed. You may not
be able to post the 'empties' material.
To prevent inconsistencies, you can only post the complete empties BOM.
The system therefore removes the complete empties BOM and the assigned
full product from the posting transaction.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Check the existence of the BOM concerned. The full product and the unit
of measure are specified in the short text for the full product.
If the BOM exists, inform your system administrator.

The SAP error message MIGO006 indicates that a Bill of Materials (BOM) entry was not found for a specified empty material (represented as &1) related to a full product (represented as &2 and &3). This error typically occurs during the goods movement process when the system is unable to locate the necessary BOM data for the materials involved.
Causes:
- Missing BOM: The BOM for the specified empty material does not exist in the system.

- Configuration Issues: There may be configuration issues in the system that prevent the BOM from being recognized.
Solutions:
Check BOM Existence:
- Use transaction code CS03 to check if the BOM exists for the empty material. Ensure that the BOM is correctly defined for the relevant plant and storage location.
Verify Material Master Data:
- Use transaction code MM03 to check the material master data for both the empty material and the full product. Ensure that all necessary views (like Basic Data, Sales, Purchasing, etc.) are correctly maintained.
Check BOM Status:
- Ensure that the BOM is active and valid for the required period. You can check the validity dates in the BOM details.
Review Plant and Storage Location:
- Confirm that the BOM is created for the correct plant and storage location. If not, you may need to create a new BOM for the correct plant.
Consult Configuration:
- If you suspect configuration issues, consult with your SAP configuration team to ensure that the BOM and material management settings are correctly configured.

SAP messages fall into 3 different categories: Error messages
(message type = E), Warnings (W) or Informational (I) messages.
An error message will prevent you from continuing your work - it is a hard stop and you need to fix the error before you can proceed. A warning message will stop your work, however, you can then bypass the warning by pressing the Enter key on your keyboard. That said, it is still good practice to investigate the cause of the warning message and address it. An information message will not stop your work and is truly just for informational purposes.
