The SAP error message C2122 ("Order & already printed") typically occurs in the context of production orders, purchase orders, or other document types that have a printing function associated with them. This error indicates that the order in question has already been printed, and therefore, the system is preventing any further printing actions for that specific order.
Cause:
- Order Status: The order has already been printed, and the system is designed to prevent duplicate printing to avoid confusion or errors.
- Print Control Settings: The print control settings in the order may be configured to restrict reprinting once the order has been printed.
- User Permissions: The user may not have the necessary permissions to reprint the order, depending on the configuration of the SAP system.
Solution:
- Check Order Status: Verify the status of the order in the system. If it has already been printed, you may need to check if a reprint is necessary or if the original printout suffices.
- Reprint Configuration: If reprinting is required, check the configuration settings for the order type in the SAP system. You may need to adjust the settings to allow for reprints.
- Use Alternative Methods: If the system does not allow reprinting, consider using alternative methods to obtain the necessary information, such as generating a report or exporting the data.
- Consult with IT or SAP Support: If you believe that the order should be allowed to be printed again, consult with your IT department or SAP support team to investigate further. They may need to adjust the system settings or provide additional permissions.

SAP messages fall into 3 different categories: Error messages
(message type = E), Warnings (W) or Informational (I) messages.
An error message will prevent you from continuing your work - it is a hard stop and you need to fix the error before you can proceed. A warning message will stop your work, however, you can then bypass the warning by pressing the Enter key on your keyboard. That said, it is still good practice to investigate the cause of the warning message and address it. An information message will not stop your work and is truly just for informational purposes.
