The SAP error message 5K714 indicates that when you are trying to perform a certain action (like a mass change or deletion of tax-related data) for selected employees, the system is warning you that all existing tax infotypes for those employees will be deleted. This message is a cautionary alert rather than a critical error, and it is meant to ensure that you are aware of the implications of your action.
Cause:
The cause of this message is typically related to the processing of tax infotypes (like IT 0015 for additional payments, IT 0016 for deductions, etc.) in the SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) module. When you attempt to modify or delete tax-related data for employees, the system is set to remove all existing tax infotypes for those employees as part of the operation.
Solution:
Review the Action: Before proceeding, carefully review the action you are about to take. Ensure that you really want to delete all existing tax infotypes for the selected employees.
Backup Data: If necessary, back up the current tax infotype data for the employees. This can be done by exporting the data or taking screenshots for reference.
Confirm Intent: If you are sure that you want to proceed with the deletion, you can confirm the action. If not, cancel the operation to avoid unintended data loss.
Use Transaction Codes: If you are using a specific transaction code (like PA30 for maintaining HR master data), ensure that you are following the correct steps and understand the implications of the changes you are making.
Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or your organization's SAP support team for guidance on handling tax infotypes and the implications of deleting them.
Testing in Sandbox: If you are unsure about the impact, consider testing the action in a sandbox environment before applying it in the production system.
Related Information:
If you continue to encounter issues or have specific scenarios that need addressing, it may be beneficial to consult with your SAP support team or a qualified SAP consultant.

SAP messages fall into 3 different categories: Error messages
(message type = E), Warnings (W) or Informational (I) messages.
An error message will prevent you from continuing your work - it is a hard stop and you need to fix the error before you can proceed. A warning message will stop your work, however, you can then bypass the warning by pressing the Enter key on your keyboard. That said, it is still good practice to investigate the cause of the warning message and address it. An information message will not stop your work and is truly just for informational purposes.
